Soci is a Social workflow management software that acquires Multi Location brands through a direct sales approach and enables SMB's through partners. This role is leading our partnership efforts. We are seeking a Business Development leader with strong interpersonal and communication skills, a focus on developing strong partnerships with industry leading SMB aggregators. The ideal candidate has experience and expertise at identifying industry partners, strong negotiations skills and the ability to close deals.   

Key Responsibilities:

You are a hard working strategic thinker that can translate a plan into action and deliver against company revenue goals.  

  • Strong industry contacts and reputation.  Ideal candidate will be able to name contacts and targets and previous successful deals in the space
  • Understand the target market, including industry connections, trends and which product strategies can be used to implement successful partnerships   
  • Strong strategic thinker that can develop and execute SOCi's Partnership go to market strategy
  • Research prospective accounts in targeted markets, pursue leads and follow through to a successful agreement
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Client Success to ensure that requirements are met
  • Maintain relationships with current clients and identify opportunities to deepen and expand current partnerships.  
  • Possess a strong understanding of our products, our competition in the industry and positioning
  • Regularly communicate new business status and needs to SOCi Leadership (Operators and BOD)


  • 5+ years SaaS partnership (Business Development) experience in the SMB / Local market
  • Must be detail oriented, organized and excellent at time management
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent internal and external communication skills  
  • Strong grasp of social media industry is preferred, but not required
  • Demonstrable critical thinking and analytical abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail
  • Is able to function effectively in a fast-paced organization and successfully balance multiple projects in a team-selling environment
  • Authorized to work for any U.S. employer
