SOCi, a leading SaaS enterprise solution for large-scale social media management and one of the fastest growing technology companies in San Diego, is looking for a technical support engineer to help our client success managers resolve more technically intensive customer issues as well as work with our key technology partners with their integrations.

The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving and analytical skills combined with basic programming and MySQL skills. You are comfortable discussing API integration details, dig through log files to confirm a customer's issue and spec out a ticket outlining your discoveries. You will proactively improve technical documentation and work with engineering teams to ensure customer issues are resolved in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Working with customers or CSMs to help resolve technical problems and advise on workarounds
  • Logging JIRA tickets for discovered issues with clear descriptions and steps to reproduce
  • Keep track of past issues to spot common trends and underlying technical problems
  • Updating self-help documents so customers/employees can try to fix problems themselves
  • Working directly with customers over the phone to resolve more challenging issues
  • Excellent written communication skills for technical writing
  • Superb analytical and problem solving abilities


Required Skills

  • Solid understanding of how REST APIs work and able to work with clients to help them with their integration
  • Ability to write MySQL queries to track down key information
  • Basic programming skills in JavaScript, PHP for ad-hoc solutions as-needed
